Phoebe AngeniPhoebe Angeni is an emerging international poet and theatremaker. Born in San Francisco, Angeni found her home in the East of Scotland and now takes on projects in both America and the UK. Angeni's work includes professional credits as a performer an assistant director as well as the creator of a one-woman adaptation of Homer's Odyssey, Ithaca, which premiered with five-star reviews at the Edinburgh Fringe. Inspired by Classical and Pagan subjects as well as avant-garde art movements such as Dadaism and Surrealism, Angeni's poetry strives to break the literary fourth wall and create an intimate relationship with its audience. Phoebe Angeni holds a BA Honours in English Literature from the University of St Andrews and has completed intensives at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, London, and the Stella Adler Studio in NYC. A (retired) certified yoga instructor and former barista, Angeni can still craft a mean latte and design sweet vinyasa flows.
