Phillip TardifPhillip Tardif has long had a close interest in the North Irish Horse, his grandfather having served in the regiment during the War. He was the first to transcribe its regimental war diaries, published on www/northirishhorse.com.au. His previously pulished works have included Notorious Strumpets and Dangerous Girls; Convict Women in Van Diemen's Lane 1803-1829 and John Bowen's Hobart: The Beginning of European Settlement in Tasmania. The latter work won the Tasmanian Bicentenary Local History Prize and was shortlisted for the 2005 Tasmania Prize.
