Philip ColeBorn in Gloucester, the author spent his entire working career as a translator, the last 25 years of which were at the European Parliament in Luxembourg where he was Head of English and Irish Translation and, for about a year, Head of Romanian Transltion. His main interests are- unsurprisingly - languages, castles, travel (he has an extensive collection of pr-war guidebooks), the EU and electoral reform. He was briefly a member of the Council of the Electoral Reform Society. He cofounded Cheltenham for Europe which won in the Brexit referendum.
