His writing has been published in the New Yorker, Harper's, BOMB, TriQuarterly, an O, The Oprah Magazine, among many others. His commentaries have been broadcast on NPR's All Things Considered. The recipient of a Whiting Writers Fellowship and a Guggenheim Fellowship.
