Peter HuntPeter, the only child of John and Margaret Hunt, was born in Brighton in July 1940, but at the age of five, began his life as a child in post-war Hong Kong. At the age of seven this idyllic life was shattered when he was sent back to England to erol in a Catholic boarding school in Sussex, and later a Catholic boarding school in Somerset. These years are covered in his first memoir, entitled a Child of a bygone era. After University in Dublin, his next twenty years, the subject of this book, were spent primarily in London, through the 60s and 70s. He worked in advertising and marketing, including a year at Business school, then onwards to market for Jimmy Goldsmith, and later for the Jamaican Government and the world of Havana cigars.
