Peter GrantDr Peter Grant is a teacher and author as well as one of the UK's leading practitioners in public and charitable funding. Peter worked for the National Lottery good causes before devising the world's first masters-level programme in grantmaking and pilanthropy at Bayes Business School part of City University, London, where he also teaches modules on the history of charity and women in popular music.He has published widely on philanthropy, history (notably the period of the First World War) and popular culture. His book on grantmaking, 'The Business of Giving', was published in 2011. Peter has also written the definitive study of charity during the Great War, 'Philanthropy and Voluntary Action in the First World War', published in 2014 and this was followed by 'National Myth and the First World War in Popular Music' in 2017.Peter is a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society, trustee of the Amy Winehouse Foundation, former Chair of the Voluntary Action History Society and President of Kennington Cricket Club.
