Peter FinkAmerican photographer Peter Fink (1907-1984) started his career as a designer with the Chicago firm V'Soske. During his years as a designer, Fink quietly worked on photographic commissions of interior settings and portraits. He traveled from te 1950s to the 1970s throughout postwar Japan, France, Portugal, the Americas, and North Africa, photographing workers and people on the street. His first one-person show was held in Portland, Oregon in 1950. During his lifetime, Fink was honored with over fifty solo exhibitions hosted by more than sixty institutions in cities across the United States, in Jerusalem, Havana, Paris, and London.
