Peter F LesterPeter is an Emeritus professor at San Jose State University in California. During his forty years of association with the university, he played football as a student and was on the Athletics Board as a faculty member. Prior to that, he was an adventuous cyclist, riding from Pasadena to Yosemite several times, as a teenager. Both of these parts of his life play into his two books: 'Out of the Shadows and Into the Fire', and 'A Football Story'. As a Meteorology professor, he was known and respected worldwide, giving papers at conferences, being a witness in aircraft accident cases, and much more. His research specialty was clear air turbulence. He was beloved by his students, many of whom keep in touch to this day.
