Peter E TaylorAfter training in the UK as an ecologist and science teacher, Peter Taylor learned papermaking, printmaking, and bookbinding at art colleges, and then the craft of calligraphy from many of the world's finest practitioners, including "The Queen's Scrie," Donald Jackson. Taylor emigrated to Australia in 1982 and is now recognized as one of Australia's best and most creative calligraphers, as well as a highly experienced and entertaining instructor. With books selling in the UK, Asia and elsewhere, his reputation as an expert has grown in other countries, too. Taylor's work has been selected for exhibitions held by the Queensland Crafts Council, the Queensland Museum, and the Queensland State Library. It has also been displayed in galleries in London and Canada, and one of his handmade books was used as part of the World Expo 88 gift to the Queen at its opening. Read More Read Less
