Peter ArenstamPeter Arenstam was born on a farm in western Massachusetts but grew up on the coast in historic Plymouth. He first earned his captain's license at the age of eighteen. A graduate of Bates College in Lewiston, Maine, and a professional boat builder, Pter currently works as the manager of the maritime artisans department of Plimoth Plantation, Inc., where he oversees the repair, restoration and sailing of the reproduction ship Mayflower II. His children's books are popular with young readers throughout New England. He is currently enrolled in an MFA program at Simmons College in Boston and still lives with his family on the coast, where this story takes place. Read More Read Less
