Peter AppletonPeter grew up in the North of England. He attended Durham University, living for his first year just down the road from Durham Cathedral. He trained in clinical psychology at Glasgow University, and has a PhD from Liverpool University. He and his wif lived in North Wales for 20 years where their children grew up. They now live in Suffolk, close to the Fens and the Brecks. Peter has taught at Bangor and Cambridge Universities, and worked in the NHS for many years as a children's clinical psychologist. He now has a visiting fellowship at Essex University, where his research interest is in how best to support young adults in transition from foster care and residential care.
