Peter Apata OlubambiP. A. Olubambi obtained his B.Eng. (Hons), M.Eng. and Ph.D. degrees in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering. He is a Professor of Materials Engineering and is presently the Director of the Centre for Nanomechanics and Tribocorrosion, as well as th Head of the School of Mining, Metallurgy, and Chemical Engineering at the University of Johannesburg (UJ - Johannesburg, South Africa). His research activities focus on three key and interrelated fields: advanced materials processing; powder metallurgy; nanomechanics and tribocorrosion. He is an engaged scholar and an NRF-rated researcher (C2). He has established a hi-tech powder metallurgy research laboratory at the Tshwane University of Technology (Pretoria, South Africa) and the laboratories for Nanomechanics and Tribocorrosion Research at UJ through funding and grants received over the course of his career.
