His research interests focus on human-computer interaction, ICT for elderly people, Internet of Things, and machine learning. He i currently serving as president of the Mexican Association on Human-Computer Interaction (AMexIHC). He is a Senior Member of the IEEE, and ACM and serves as Chair of the Mexican ACM SIGCHI Chapter (CHI-Mexico).
