Paul R OlsonA native of Illinois, Paul R. Olson was a student of Henry Kahane at the University of Illinois and of Raimundo Lida at Harvard University, where he received his doctorate in 1959. After teaching at Dartmouth College from 1956 to 1961, he was appointd assistant professor of Spanish at Johns Hopkins University and subsequently professor and chairman of the Department of Romance Languages.
