He is associate professor of architecture at the School of Architecture and associate director of the Collaborative for Cultural Heritage and Policy, University of Illinis at Urbana-Champaign. He is author of The Architecture of William Nichols: Building the Antebellum South in North Carolina, Alabama, and Mississippi, published by University Press of Mississippi, and coeditor of SynergiCity: Reinventing the Postindustrial City.
