Paul EkrothRev. Paul Ekroth is a descendant of Swedish-speaking immigrants; his mother was born in Finland and his father was born in Sweden. Paul's parents immigrated to New York and finally settled in Worcester, Massachusetts, where his maternal grandfather funded and pastored two Swedish-speaking churches. Paul's dad entered one of those churches for the first time when he was 20 years old. There he heard a sermon in his native language, and he received the message of salvation and became born again. In time, his dad met the pastor's daughter, and she eventually became his wife. Paul recalls that his dad taught him the value of hard work, and his mother taught him biblical values and how to pray. In 1956, Paul completed four years of extensive training at the Chicago Bible College Institute where he earned an Evangelical Advanced Teacher's Certificate and Diploma of the Bible. On May 24, 1956, he was ordained as a minister of the gospel. Read More Read Less
