Patricia A FanningPATRICIA J. FANNING is a life-long Norwood resident. A professor of sociology emeritus at Bridgewater State University, she received her doctorate from Boston College. A former president of the Norwood Historical Society, she is the current presidentof the Old Parish Preservation Volunteers whose mission is to restore the Old Parish Cemetery in Norwood. Her publications include essays on connections between the arts, primarily photography and literature, and the wider American culture. She has written several books related to Norwood history including Through an Uncommon Lens: The Life and Photography of F. Holland Day (2008) and Influenza and Inequality: One Town's Tragic Response to the Great Epidemic of 1918 (2010). Read More Read Less
