Paolo MengozziPaolo Mengozzi, a full professor of International and European Community Law at the University of Bologna law faculty, is now a judge at the European Community Court of First Instance. He has lectured extensively on European Community law topics in sveral universities in the United States, France, Belgium and Greece. Before being appointed to the European Court, Judge Mengozzi was the director of the "Centro Interdipartimentale di ricerca sui diritto delle Comunità Europee" and coordinator of the Ph.D curricula on Community law, both at the University of Bologna. He also has taught European Community law at the Bologna Center of the Johns Hopkins University as an adjunct professor and as a visiting professor at the Georgetown University Law School and the St. Johns University Law School. Judge Mengozzi was the director of the 1997 session of the English speaking section of the Hague Academy of International Law Center for Studies and Research devoted to the WTO and is currently a member of the supervisory board of the LLM in European Business Law of the Pallas Consortium, an inter-university program among seven European universities.
