P R HernonP. R. Hernon is the author of A Community of Old Bones (2016) and The Old Lady Who Wrote Stories For Her Son (2021). Her writing is incredibly personal, born of the heartbreak she experienced when her son died in 2002. She discovered that creation wa a wondrous tool to help her walk the paths of grief and sorrow. She began to write both prose and poetry to faithfully chronicle her journey. Had she not been able to do so, she fears what would have been her fate. Others may have found better ways, but this has worked for her. It kept her sane and focused throughout the darkest days of her life.
