Omayra MansfieldOmayra Mansfield, MD, MHA, FACEP is the Chief Medical Officer at AdventHealth Apopka and former Chief of Staff at AdventHealth Celebration. She is board-certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine and is a Fellow of the American Collge of Emergency Physicians. Dr. Mansfield completed her medical degree and master's in healthcare administration at the University of Florida and her emergency medicine residency at Carolinas Medical Center in North Carolina.
Prior to working as an emergency medicine physician, Dr. Mansfield spent several years in healthcare administration and has held several leadership roles in various departments throughout her over two-decade career in healthcare, in areas including medical staff, emergency department, and finance. She has been honored with the ACHE Innovation Award, Resident Research Award, SAEM Excellence in Emergency Medicine Award, and AMA Medical Student Leadership Award, among others. Dr. Mansfield has a passion for motivating others to achieve a life of health and balance. She regularly speaks to corporate and public groups on topics such as transformational trust in the workplace and improving health and wellness at home and work. She has a keen interest in educating healthcare providers on patient safety and improving the patient experience and has lectured extensively on these topics. Omayra is also recognized as one of the Top 100 Thought Leaders Influencing Trusted Business Behavior by Trust across America/Trust around the World. She is co-author of
The Trust Transformation, an evidence-based training program and book; both of which teach people how to improve results by improving relationships through a more intentional focus on earning, building, and restoring trust. She also served as a principal investigator on research studies at AdventHealth to explore the impact and outcomes of a more intentional focus on trust in relationships.Dr. Mansfield lives in Orlando with her husband and their daughter and son, where the family enjoys staying active doing CrossFit and running.
