Oluwafemi Sunday ObayoriOluwafemi Sunday Obayori was educated at the University of Ilorin (BSc.) and the University of Lagos (M.Sc., Ph.D). He is a Professor of Environmental Microbiology with specialization in biodegradation of petroleum hydrocarbons and related environmenal pollutants. He lectures at the Department of Microbiology, Lagos State University, Ojo, Lagos, Nigeria. He has supervised students and both undergraduate and postgraduate level, including three Ph.D candidates. He has published widely in journals and chapters in books. His current research interest is in the bioresources of lagoons and antibiotic and heavy metals resistomes of polluted and pristine environments. He was at various times Head of Department of Microbiology and Dean of Students' Affairs, a member of several scientific societies.
