Norm earned his Master of Arts Degree in Counselling in 1989. In addition to decades of a private counselling practice, Norm established counselling services in 12 Elementary Schools for the Hanover School Division in Manitoba, was the founding CEO of The Caring Place in Regina, Saskatchewan, served as Adjunct Professor in Counselling Practicum, taught seminars across Western Canada for those traumatized by the abusive use of power and control, and is currently a sought-after trauma recovery specialist working onsite and online.

Norm is a full member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association and lives near Calgary, Alberta, Canada with his long time partner and friend Neva (Larson) Quantz.
