Nisa V SalimDr Nisa Salim is a Senior Lecturer within the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Product Design Engineering at the School of Engineering, Swinburne University of Technology Australia. She received her PhD degree from Deakin University with a hihly prestigious Gold Medal for Research Excellence from the Australian Institute of Nuclear Science and Engineering. Her research team focuses on interdisciplinary science and engineering, including advanced composites manufacturing, nanomaterials and multifunctional materials, enabling key applications in space, aerospace, and defence. She has published over 80 high-impact journal papers, 4 edited books, 8 book chapters, and 1 patent application. Nisa won many awards in her research career, including the Smart Geelong Early Researcher award, Victoria Fellowship, Endeavour Fellowship, Alfred Deakin Fellowship, Australian Academy of Science AIEMCR Fellowship, and many more, even with a career break of more than 2 years.
