Nina BrisleyNina Brisley (1898-1978) had few equals as a children's illustrator. She studied at Hastings and Lambeth schools of art. Her charming style and beautiful pallette made her one of Britain's most successful illustrators. She worked on most of ElizabethClark's stories, and is also famous for her illustrations of Elinor M Brent-Dyer's 'Chalet School' series.
