Nigel has field experience of aound half of the bird species of the world. In between these extensive travels, he worked for 20 years as a leading publisher of bird books, latterly for Bloomsbury Publishing in the UK. He is also the author of numerous articles and three books, including an acclaimed Helm field guide, Birds of the Horn of Africa, and was co-author of Where to Watch Birds in Britain.
