Nigel L WalkerDr. Nigel L. Walker was born February 13, 1980, to David and Jacqueline T. Walker. He was born and raised in Eufaula, AL, along with seven brothers and sisters. Jacqueline raised all eight children as a single mother in the public housing projects thoughout his childhood. He began writing at an early age, and published his first poetry book, The Secret Diaries of Jean Batiste in 2004. His follow-up, Rose Petals for Josephine: The Secret Diaries Volume II was released in 2007. He also published a narrative nonfiction work entitled The Underground Philosophy of Education: Teaching is Not for Dummies in 2011. Dr. Nigel L. Walker earned his Bachelors, Masters, and Specialist degrees in Education all at LaGrange College in LaGrange, GA. He earned his Doctorate at Columbus State University in Columbus, GA. Dr. Walker currently serves as a high school assistant principal. He is also member of the alternative hip hop recording group, Hypoetically Speaking, and a motivational speaker.
