Ndangwa Noyoo

Ndangwa NoyooNdangwa Noyoo is an associate professor and the former head of the Department of Social Development at the University of Cape Town (UCT), South Africa. He previously worked for the University of Johannesburg (UJ) as an associate professor in the Depatment of Social Work and before that, for the South African Government, as a senior social policy specialist/chief director in the National Department of Social Development. Before this, he was a senior lecturer in the Department of Social Work at the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits). He has published widely in the context of Africa and Southern Africa in the areas of social policy, social development, and related fields. He has presented papers at various symposia in Africa and abroad. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits), a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Development Studies from the University of Cambridge and a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree from the University of Zambia (UNZA).
