Her core expertise is in Environmental Health Engineering, Climate Change Adaptation, Urban HeatIsland Phenomenon and Health Impact. Since 1995 she has targeted contamination measurement and possible control. She has an extensive background in pure and applied research as well as Chemical Engineering. She has acquired, applied, and has taken pride in a very wide range of experiences and activities from hands-on projects such as projects involving air, water, wastewater, solid waste, and related health issues. She led as the Principal Investigator for various local and international research focusing on urban health and climate change addressing Sustainable Development Goals 3, 11 and 13 targeting future cities.
