Narinder Dhami Narinder Dhami's father moved from India to England in the 1950s, where he and his future wife met on a bus. Growing up, Narinder was always writing stories. She typed some of them on a pink typewriter! Narinder became a school teacher, and, after enering a writing contest, she won a computer. That convinced her to write full time. She is best known for her novelization of the hit soccer film Bend It Like Beckham. She now lives in Cambridge, England with her husband and five cats.
