Nancy BondNancy Bond was raised in Baker City in Northeastern Oregon. She received her BA from the University of Oregon and an MA and Handicapped Education endorsement from Portland State University. She worked as an elementary classroom teacher for 30 years. uring those years she realized the value of true animal stories and has lived most of her life with cats, dogs, gerbils, calves, lambs and a mouse in the garden who liked handheld graham crackers. She and her husband, Ken, are parents of two grown children, two granddaughters, and three great grandsons. They make their home in Western Oregon and Southern California.
