Nan Rubin

Nan RubinA native New Yorker, Nan moved to Tucson with her husband, Charlie, in 1994 continuing a career in clinical social work while pursuing her love of writing. Encounters: Lessons from the Natural World, published by Wheatmark in 2016, was inspired by he discovery of poetic metaphors for life experiences in the backyard visits of wildlife and shifting moods of the Tucson desert. Nan has studied with Tucson poets Dan Gilmore and Tom Speer, at Osher Lifelong Institute for Adult Learning (OLLI). She has been published in KYSO Flash Online Anthology (2019) and is an active member of the Arizona State Poetry Society (ASPS). Her poetry will appear in Sandcutters, the ASPS Anthology for 2022.
