A Past President of the Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors (AFA), she currently serves as an AFA liison to the Council for the Advancement of Standards in Higher Education (CAS). Dr. Miranda has been recognized with the Dr. Robert H. Shaffer Award from AFA and her sorority, Omega Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., with the renaming of an award, the Mónica Lee Miranda Image Award.
