Previously, as main academic appointments, he was a teaching assistant at Hacettepe University, chemistry researcher and lecturer t Criminal Department Research Center, Ankara, Turkey, chemistry professor at Turkish Military Academy and visiting professor at Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas, respectively. He received his PhD at Department of Chemistry, Hacettepe University in 2005. He is the author of more than 25 articles in peer-review journals and scientific proceedings and has more than 400 citations. He has more than 20 years of research and teaching experience in the fields of Materials Chemistry, Applied Biochemistry, Biotechnology and Nanotechnology. His research interests are preparation and characterization of polymer, gel or graphene based micro & nano materials, nanofluids, nanopharmaceutics, bioinspired surfaces, hydro- and cryo-gels, supramolecular assemblies and their biochemical, biotechnological, engineering and environmental applications.
