After graduating from university, Monique's passion for freedom and adventure saw her explore Australia, sleeping under the stars on an 8,000 km circumnavigation of the outback. Wandering abroad to Asia, North Africa and Europe the suburban girl inhaled the essence of new cultures, faces and experiences. Marrying her childhood sweetheart she then moved to Switzerland, her mother's home country, and worked as a bilingual communications assistant for World Wildlife Fund International. The interesting women she met along the way, and the friendships forged, as well as her friends from University, inspired her to create the characters for this series of books.
