Monika FreunekDr.-Ing Monika Freunek is an experienced researcher and lecturer, project manager and executive leader in the fields of critical infrastructure, energy systems, and cybersecurity. She has more than 15 years of experience in IoT systems, microsystem tchnologies, cybersecurity, data science and machine learning. She is the founder of Lighthouse Science Consulting and Technologies Inc.. Her previous research experience includes scientific work for IBM Research, Switzerland, the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems and the Albert-Ludwig-University of Freiburg, Germany. As a fellow of a start-up grant program, she developed a university spin-off. In industry, she was a cybersecurity manager and officer with a focus on IoT and OT systems and the head of several data science divisions within an energy utility and an industrial spin-off.
