Mohammad Yeakub AliMohammad Yeakub Ali is a Professor in Mechanical Engineering at Universiti Teknologi Brunei. Formerly a Professor in the Department of Manufacturing and Materials Engineering at the International Islamic University Malaysia, Dr. Ali holds a B.Sc. in echanical Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, a Masters in Manufacturing Systems from the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand, and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Dr. Ali has authored over 250 journals and conference proceedings. His research focuses on advanced manufacturing systems, optimization, scheduling, advanced machining, and micromachining. Notably, he has supervised 30 master’s and Ph.D. students in the field of advanced manufacturing. Dr. Ali has played a pivotal role as a Conference Chair for the International Conference on Advances in Manufacturing and Materials Engineering since 2012. A Chartered Engineer with the Engineering Council UK, a Chartered Professional Engineer with Engineers Australia, and a Professional Engineer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia and Bangladesh Professional Engineers Registration Board, Dr. Ali is an active member of professional societies including ASME, IEOM, and IEM.
