Mila PatienceAs a seventeen-year-old enthusiastic writer, for as long as I can remember I have been writing stories and analyzing plots and descriptions. I originally started writing Medusa a month before completing my freshman year of high school. Now, as a senir in high school, I realize how much of a journey it's been. The long stressful nights, days of research (I wanted to keep the story line as accurate as possible), months of procrastination, along with a deeply annoying writer's block I can gladly say I made it through. Writing this book was one of my greatest successes. I can remember my mom saying to me, "Babe, if you want something done, you got to start it." Or, "If you really want something, you gotta work for it; good things don't come easy." I remember wanting to give up numerous times. I wanted to make the book as accurate as possible but it's hard when it has different storylines and parts of Medusa's life weren't written. I tried my hardest writing this book. Giving different light to someone who was only ever written as a villain, I wanted her whole story to be told and heard. I want the readers to understand that behind every bad person is a story. An unheard story. Read More Read Less
