She has also enjoyed a parallel career in show business. She has stage, television and film experience in French and English. In 2008, her first novel, Parce que chanter c'est trop dur was shortlisted for two literary awards. In 2012, her second novel, Jeudi Novembre won the prestigious Ontario Trillium Book Award and the Prix littéraire Émile-Ollivier from the Conseil supérieur de la langue française. In 2017, her third work, L'enfant-feu won Le prix littéraire Le Droit and was a finalist for the Trillium Book Award. She lives in Ottawa. Tendrils is her first published work in English.
