Michelle HampsonDr. Michelle Hampson studied computer science as an undergraduate student at the University of Alberta, and neural network modeling as a graduate student at Boston University. During her postdoctoral years at Yale University, she conducted some of th earliest studies of resting-state functional connectivity MR imaging and contributed to the development and validation of that technique. Later, she developed an interest in real-time fMRI neurofeedback and began using it to train patients with neuropsychiatric conditions to control symptom relevant brain patterns. Her research program is focused on the development and application of novel functional neuroimaging techniques and involves collaboration with researchers from many different backgrounds.
