Friends who knew Special Ed urged her to try her hand at writing a children's book about his unusual life. (He even spent the night in her house!) Special Ed was different rom the other calves on Michelle's ranch, and most of what is described in this book really happened. Special Ed had such a sweet disposition; Michelle saw the opportunity to weave his story into an anti-bullying tool. She hopes that this book will raise awareness in children that each of us has something to offer. Michelle and her husband, Jim, live on a ranch in Texas with many of Special Ed's friends and relatives. She enjoys traveling, sewing, and reading when not writing.
