Her interests include colonial and postcolonial studies, gender and feminist theory, masculinity studies, environmental humanitie, and contents tourism. Mason is also dedicated to the study of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in literature and history, nuclear abolition, global hibakusha movements, and nuclear power.
