Michael Welford draws inspiration for his writing from his own life. His debut picture book, Papa, Do You Know Things?, was inspired by a conversation with his granddaughter. He lives in Grande Cache, Alberta, with his wfe, Mellissa, and cats, Lucy and Horace.
