He earned a medical degree at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, and afterward spent more than fifty years as a hospital/medical school-based physician, teacher, and scientist. His clinical activities inclued internal medicine and hematology, with special attention to bleeding and thrombotic disorders, and fibrinolytic therapy. Mosesson's bench and clinical research activities focused mainly on fibrinogen, fibrin, fibrinolysis, thrombosis, and bleeding. After ending his research activities at the Blood Research Institute of The Blood Center of Wisconsin, he turned to writing Fibrinogen Memoirs to slake his thirst for clarity and exposition.
