His book, Bad Monkey Business, won a Spark Honor from the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators in 2018. Michael has illustrated over a dozen books with varius authors, he also writes and illustrates his own stories. He writes mainly picture books but also works on middle grade graphic novels.
