Michael Cannivet

In 1995, MICHAEL CANNIVET's grandmother bought him his first stock. A coffee company called Starbucks. That was his early entry into the world of investing.

Later while at Georgetown University, an internship at a venture capital fir changed his life. That's when he fell in love with investing and decided to pursue a career in finance.

After college, Michael worked in the Bay Area at Fisher Investments as an Equity Analyst under the tutelage of acclaimed investor, Ken Fisher. There he learned about macro investing and how to use empiricism to build new capital markets technology.

He later became a partner and co-chief investment officer at Palo Capital. During his tenure, he helped grow the firm's assets under management five-fold.

Michael is a top Wealth Manager and the President and chief investment officer at Silverlight Asset Management in Orange County, California. He founded Silverlight to help people actively and successfully manage money and time.
