Michael C SimonesMichael Simones is a retired Air Force Child & Youth Services senior administrator. He holds an AA in Child Development, BA in Human Development and has completed MA coursework in Human Development. In 2021 he completed 30 units of LGBT Studies as wel. During his 37 years of service to military families, Mr. Simones taught preschool children for 10 years, then served as a Curriculum Specialist and Child Development Center Director. He entered senior administration the last 10 years of service as a Child and Youth Civilian Commander at Air Force programs all over the world. Throughout his career Mr. Simones has been awarded citations from the US Air Force to include the 2015 Air Force Child & Youth Services Commander of the Year. Mr. Simones resides in San Francisco, CA.In retirement, Mr. Simones writes books for children, youth and young adults that support positive social and self-esteem affirmation and inclusion-especially for those who are bullied and emotionally abused because of who they naturally are.
