Michael C BorishMichael Borish is a post-doctoral researcher of Computer Science at Oak Ridge National Lab (ORNL). Dr. Borish currently works at the Manufacturing Demonstration Facility (MDF) at ORNL, where he investigates the use of in-situ algorithms to provide fedback to large-scale additive manufacturing machines. These algorithms can take many forms of input including direct user input, image analysis, machine learning decisions, etc. He is also investigating new methodologies for interaction, status feedback, and remote collaboration via augmented reality. His research interests include novel interaction methodologies, user input/feedback, and 3D interfaces. To a lesser extent, he also engages in a wide array of algorithms related to computational geometry, machine learning, image analysis, and feedback control techniques. His research is funded by the DOE. Read More Read Less
