Mervyn PryerBorn in 1919 in Armidale, Mervyn Pryer grew up in Binnaway. He went to Binnaway Primary and Dubbo High. Dux in the trial Leaving Certificate, Mervyn went to Armidale Teachers' College in 1937-38 and began a 41-year career teaching in NSW small school. He was smitten from the moment he saw the willowy blonde he was to marry. Mervyn took Betty to the bush, literally. To Terry Hie Hie 30 miles outside Moree. They had two children.
