Meredith MorabitoMeredith Morabito is an artist based in Saugerties NY, and photographs this chipmunk daily. Cali, the chipmunk, is completely wild and lives underground near her studio and has been visiting her for several years. All photos are original and uneditedand taken with her iPhone. She does not use photoshop and builds the scenes/sets using miniature pieces she makes or finds at yard sales. She feels lucky enough to have discovered her passion right outside her door in her own backyard and has always had this connection with animals and a unique sense of humor that continues today on her farm of rescue animals. She spends long periods outside every day caring for her animals, but while most are happy on their own, Cali seeks her out and enjoys their unique connection and the weird little worlds she creates for her to explore.Meredith also sells notecards and prints of her work and has sold out whenever they are available, usually at local artist festivals/markets. She has been featured in several publications, highlighting her chipmunk photography and her journey to get here.
