Melvin WadeMelvin Von Wade, Jr. was born on October 11, 1969, in Dallas, Texas. He attended Santa Monica Junior College, where he studied music. In the year 2000, he went to American Baptist Theological Seminary in Nashville, Tennessee. He was a faithful memberunder his father's pastoral tenure (Melvin Wade, Sr.) at Mount Moriah Baptist Church of Los Angeles, California. At Mount Moriah, he served as President of the Children's Choir from 1977-1982. From 1983-1999, he served as the Youth and Young Adult President of the Chancel Choir. Among Melvin Wade's many talents, he is also a professional Gospel drummer. He has played for Gospel artists such as James Cleveland, Charles Nix, Margaret Douroux, Yolanda Adams, Curt Karr, Milton Biggam, Doretha Wade, Ricky Grundy, and many more. The Author has also served faithfully under Bishop Joseph Walker, Pastor of the Mount Zion Baptist Church of Nashville, Tennessee from 2001-2003. There, he served as College Ministry Co-Overseer. He also served as Bishop Walker's Armorbearer from 2001-2010. He now faithfully serves under Shane Scott, Pastor of the Macedonia Baptist Church of Los Angeles, California as the Christian Education Director from November 2017 to the present time (2021).
